Chris Henry Jr., son of the late NFL wide receiver Chris Henry, has emerged as one of the nation's premier talents in the 2026 recruiting class. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 190 pounds, Henry possesses talent that has programs from across the country interested.

He began his high school career at West Clermont High School in Ohio and as a freshman Henry recorded 29 receptions for 292 yards and five touchdowns on offense, while also contributing three interceptions and two forced fumbles on defense. His sophomore year saw him transfer to Withrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he set a school record with 1,127 receiving yards on 71 catches, scoring 10 touchdowns. Ahead of his junior season, Henry transferred to Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, a program renowned for producing top-tier collegiate talent. Unfortunately, his junior season was curtailed due to a knee injury.
Under head coach Mario Cristobal, the Hurricanes have assembled a promising 2026 recruiting class, currently ranked 14th nationally by On3. Dereon Coleman is the QB who might throw passes to Henry if he flips to Miami. Coleman is a four-star quarterback from Jones High School in Orlando, Florida. and committed in July of last year. β
Henry also joins several other big time recruits for the May 30 weekend visit to Coral Gables. Henry has official visits scheduled with Miami on May 30, USC on June 6, Oregon on June 13, and Ohio State on June 20.Β Given Henry's exceptional talent and potential, securing his commitment would be a significant boost to the Hurricanes' 2026 class.
