He may have only been with Miami and Mario Cristobal for a season, but Carson Beck won't be forgotten in Coral Gables anytime soon. The veteran quarterback helped power the Canes to the CFP title game and he's now off to the NFL.
Carson Beck opens up on Miami's resurgence and confirms what fans already knew
This week, Beck is hoping to raise his NFL Draft stock with a strong showing at the Combine and he's already turning heads while speaking to the media. Not only did Beck talk about Cristobal and his staff, but he also cleared the air on the assumed issues he had with Georgia.
The narrative that's been painted over the last year has been that Beck and Georgia had a nasty divorce and that the signal-caller has a serious beef with the Dawgs. That could not be further from the truth, Beck revealed on Friday:
"No bad blood. I'm really never sure where that came from."

He tore his UCL. Declared for the draft. Reversed course. Gunner's era began. Beck transferred to Miami.

Carson Beck made it more than clear that he has no issues with Kirby Smart and Georgia
"There was no bad blood," Beck told the media. "I'm not really sure where that came from. I love the University of Georgia, I love Coach (Kirby) Smart, Coach (Mike) Bobo, Coach (Todd) Monken and all the other coaches I was able to have there and all my teammates there as well that I'm still really good friends with today."
Open and shut case. Throughout the season, it seemed like Beck was always out to prove the Georgia haters wrong, but that was never what was on his mind. Instead, it looks like he was locked in to help Miami get back on the right track, while also wishing his friends in Athens well.
Beck ended up being a blessing from the Football Gods for the Canes, as he indeed was sharp with the ball in his hands and he helped lead The U to a memorable CFP run. While Miami didn't win it all, Beck still won over the fanbase because of his strong play - the interception to close things out in the loss to Indiana changed absolutely nothing.
Moving forward, he's now hoping to have a long and successful career in the league, doing so as a former standout for both Georgia and Miami. Some UGA fans may have a little bit of hate for the QB, but Beck has no ill will against anyone at the SEC school. If anything, he shut down the speculation in a big way at the Combine.
