The Miami Hurricanes are where five-star recruits come to play.

247Sports updated its rankings Wednesday, and the Hurricanes were the big winners with four five-star recruits in the 2027 class. The adjustments also moved Miami's class up to No. 2 in the country, behind Texas A&M. Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Florida rounded out the top five.

It's been another banner class for Mario Cristobal, who has fulfilled the promise of making the Hurricanes a destination for top recruits. The success on the trail has shown up on the field as well, with Miami making it to the CFP championship game.

In the last recruiting cycle, the Hurricanes signed five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, who is expected to be an immediate starter. This current crop of five-star players will be the centerpieces of a core group that should keep Miami at the top of the college football landscape for years to come.

CB Donte Wright (Long Beach, Calif.)

Wright committed to the Hurricanes on May 9, flipping from Georgia. The composite numbers have him as the No. 2 cornerback in the nation and the ninth overall prospect regardless of position. Wright has shut his recruitment down since taking his official visit on May 29 and was a big factor in helping Miami flip another elite prospect, Jaiden Bryant.

QB Israel Abrams (Arlington Heights, Ill.)

The Hurricanes needed a big-time arm in this class and Abrams fits the bill. The dynamic quarterback committed on April 3 and is ranked second at his position and the top overall player in Illinois. 247Sports has him ranked ninth overall in its rankings and the composite numbers have him 33rd overall. With Cristobal and Shannon Dawson focusing on rebuilding the QB room for future seasons, Abrams is the guy that they needed to land.

WR Nick Lennear (Miami, FL)

When it comes to landing the best of the best players, Cristobal has shown that there is no destination that is too far. But when one of the best wide receivers is less than 20 minutes from campus, you better reel him in. Lennear comes from the storied Carol City program, a school that has produced a great number of Hurricanes. The composite rankings have Lennear as the 11th overall prospect in the country and the third-best player at his position.

EDGE Jaiden Bryant (Columbia, SC)

Bryant is the most recent of the five-star players that will make his way to Coral Gables. The top-ranked player in the Carolinas was originally committed to LSU, but decided to make the change after his official visit on May 29. He was so excited about becoming a Hurricane that he reportedly returned to campus for an unofficial visit to meet other commits and targets the following weekend.
